Royal Bluff Orchard, LLC is fortunate to have a highly accomplished team of industry professionals who guide the successful operation of the business.

James H. Jackson, CPA, Managing Member

From 1982 to 1986 Jim Jackson capitalized and developed Royal Bluff Orchard. Today he continues his role as the Managing Member of Royal Bluff Orchard, LLC. He also developed an additional 390 acres of Granny Smith apple orchards in the same Royal City area.  Mr. Jackson is a founder and a former director of Seattle's First Sound Bank and he also sat on the board of directors of the YMCA. Mr. Jackson graduated cum laude with a bachelor's degree in forest management from Nichols College. He served his country as a Vietnam veteran and received his Masters Degree in Business Administration from California State University San Diego.

Michael A. Brown, President and Chief Operating Officer

Mike Brown is a graduate of the University of Washington, with an undergraduate focus in the sciences and engineering, and graduate studies in business finance. He served as senior staff and business analyst for Weyerhaeuser for ten years. He joined the Royal Bluff organization in 1987 as a professional tree fruit orchard manager. His current responsibilities as CEO include orchard administration, coordination of fruit packing and marketing, and operational supervision. His orchard operation is respected in the industry as well managed with extensively trained operating teams.

Manuel Martinez, Orchard Manager

Manuel Martinez joined Royal Bluff in 1990 and has served as orchard manager since then. He is experienced in all facets of orchard management, and has received extensive classroom training in topics such as orchard operations, labor management, and entomology.

Dain Craver, Horticultural Consultant

Dain Craver holds a bachelor’s degree in horticulture from Washington State University, and has served as a horticulture consultant to Royal Bluff since 1988 in Central Washington. He has worked with diversified operations as large as 4,000 acres, and also served for 14 years as the manager of KS Orchard, a 600-acre multi-fruit operation. Mr. Craver is also the owner of a 125-acre organic orchard that produces apples, Asian pears, cherries, and nectarines. He served as the Chairman of the Entomology Committee of the Washington State Tree Fruit Association and is an active member of several other statewide trade and business organizations. Mr. Craver has received the 2010 Silver Apple Award from the Washington State Horticultural Association. This award is granted to the Top Apple producer in the State of Washington. He has also received Stemilt Growers Organic Grower Award in 2007 and their Red Delicious Grower Award in 2009.
